Vineyard Cottage

Curious about life on a working English vineyard? The owner, Graham, would be delighted to offer you a complimentary tour. Guests are also welcome to relax in the orchard picnic area, complete with a charming vintage picnic hamper. A tranquil wildlife pond and meadow—with a cosy firepit—have been created for you to enjoy during your stay.

Kitchen

Enter the cottage through a charming stable-style door into a thoughtfully designed kitchen. You’ll find everything you need for a comfortable self-catering stay, including a ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave, dishwasher, a large fridge, and a compact freezer. The kitchen is well-equipped with quality utensils, pots, pans, crockery, and cutlery, along with a selection of speciality teas and coffees (for the cafetière). There’s ample storage and a tiled floor throughout.

Dining & Living Room

This bright and spacious room is perfect for relaxing after a day exploring. It features a leather sofa, armchair, and a dining table seating four guests. Throws are provided so your dogs can share the sofa, and soft scatter cushions add a touch of comfort and style.

An electric log-effect stove creates a cosy atmosphere, while a large Smart TV with DVD player, Netflix, and Prime Video (plus other subscription services via your own account) provides entertainment. Fibre broadband WiFi is included, and the room enjoys beautiful sunset views.

Hallway

The hallway includes a small storage cupboard housing the cordless vacuum, ironing board, mop and bucket, and airer. There’s also space for storing luggage.

Bedroom One

All rooms are on one level, with easy access to both bedrooms. This large and inviting room features a comfortable double bed and double French doors opening onto the garden, offering stunning views across open fields and glorious sunrise light. Storage includes a wardrobe, chest of drawers, and two bedside cabinets. Carpeted flooring adds warmth underfoot.

Bedroom Two

A light and airy bedroom with views over the garden and countryside, perfect for catching the morning sun. Furnished with a comfortable double bed, bedside table, and chest of drawers, this room also has a soft carpeted floor.

Bathroom

Conveniently situated between the two bedrooms, the bathroom features a modern white suite with toilet, basin, and a walk-in shower with sliding doors. There’s generous cupboard space for toiletries and towels.

Heating & Hot Water

The cottage is kept cosy by a gas combination boiler, controlled remotely via Hive smart technology. With excellent insulation, double glazing, and non-slip LVT flooring in the living areas (carpeted bedrooms), the cottage stays wonderfully warm even in the colder months.

Outside

Access to the property is shared with the main farmhouse, but guests have dedicated parking right beside the cottage. A super-fast 22kW EV charger is available (payment required). Entry is through a small gate and along a gravel path leading to the kitchen door.

The private enclosed garden lies to the east, capturing the morning sun and offering light throughout the day. A patio area with a circular dining table (seating four) sits beneath a pergola draped in Japanese Wisteria, providing shade in summer.

On the lawn, a relaxed lounge area with an outdoor sofa and two chairs is perfectly positioned to enjoy an evening drink as the sun goes down. A bistro table for two offers another lovely spot to unwind. All outdoor furniture includes comfortable cushions.

The garden features mature shrubs and trees for privacy and tranquillity, enclosed by 48” wooden fencing with mesh backing to keep small dogs safely contained. Other boundaries include 6ft+ hedging or solid fencing, and a doggie shower area (cold water) is also provided for your four-legged guests.
