Once part of a working hill farm, this much-loved home has been thoughtfully brought back to life, preserving its old stone walls and farmhouse character while adding all the warmth and comfort of modern living.
Surrounded by open meadows and framed by the dramatic fells of Catbells and Causey Pike, The Farmhouse offers relaxed, luxurious accommodation for six- eight guests. Its tranquil setting makes it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District’s lakes, valleys, and fell walks — many of which begin right from the front door. Whether you’re seeking peaceful seclusion or outdoor adventure, this is a place to truly unwind and reconnect with nature.
Accommodation
At the heart of the house lies a well-appointed country kitchen, complete with a dining table that invites intimate meals with family and friends. You’ll find everything you need to cook and entertain in comfort — including an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, and microwave.
Relaxed Living Spaces
The large, open-plan sitting room is the perfect place to unwind after a day on the fells. Sink into deep sofas beside the wood-burning stove, with a basket of logs ready for your arrival, and watch the light shift across the valley through the windows. A Smart TV with Apple TV and high-speed Wi-Fi provide modern convenience without disturbing the farmhouse tranquillity.
A handy boot room offers plenty of space for coats, boots, and walking gear, and includes a washing machine and tumble dryer — ideal for drying off after a Lakeland ramble.
Upstairs Accommodation
The Farmhouse sleeps six to eight guests across four bedrooms, each blending comfort with character.
The spacious master bedroom, with east- and south-facing windows, is bright and airy and features a super-king bed and a large en-suite bathroom.
The second bedroom has an en-suite shower room and flexible sleeping arrangements.
The third bedroom offers comfortable twin beds
The fourth bedroom features bunk beds, ideal for children.
A family bathroom with bath and overhead shower completes the accommodation — a restful space to soak away the day.
