Nine Potterhill - Pickering

This stylish and exceptionally comfortable cottage is full of surprises! From the outside, Nine PotterHill appears as a traditional market town cottage, but step inside and you’ll immediately feel at home, thanks to a harmonious blend of contemporary and classic interiors. Owners Matt & Lisa have carefully curated a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout.

The open-plan living and dining area is bright and airy, with cosy sofas and chairs arranged around a charming log burner—perfect for chilly Yorkshire days. A smart TV and DVD player make it ideal for relaxing evenings after a day of exploring North Yorkshire’s hidden gems.

The adjoining kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, including an oven, hob, fridge-freezer, washing machine, microwave, and an espresso coffee machine for leisurely mornings.

Upstairs, the first of three enchanting bedrooms awaits. The Purple Room, at the front of the cottage, overlooks the charming main street. A super-comfy double bed, plush pillows, and a sumptuous duvet make it a perfect retreat for a restful night.

Across the landing, you’ll find a recently renovated bathroom that is truly the pièce de résistance. Featuring a freestanding bath, walk-in shower, and elegant bowl sink, it combines luxury with stylish, thoughtful design.

A further staircase leads to two additional bedrooms. The Blue Room features twin beds, a delightful window seat with far-reaching views across Pickering, and a Velux window that fills the room with natural light—perfect for stargazing. Through a connecting door lies the Pink Room, a beautifully appointed space with a king-size bed, enchanting street views, and a warm Farrow & Ball colour palette that creates a cosy, inviting atmosphere.

Each bedroom includes a hairdryer, mirror (full-length or tabletop), and wardrobe or chest of drawers for your convenience. An additional Z-bed is available on request for an extra guest for a small additional fee.

Outside, the cottage boasts a charming courtyard with a rustic bench and seating area—ideal for morning coffee or evening drinks in the sun. There’s also a secure, lockable bike store with wall-mounted racks for guests wishing to explore the North Yorkshire countryside on two wheels.
