Gatecroft Barn & Spa - Garrigill

The open-plan lounge and kitchen are traditionally furnished, with a cosy log burner (supplied with plenty of logs and kindling), comfortable leather sofas and armchair, and a dining table that extends to seat up to six guests. The compact kitchen is well equipped with a Belfast sink, hob, built-in oven, microwave, Tassimo coffee machine, and separate fridge and freezer.

Upstairs, the spacious master bedroom features a double bed, exposed stone walls and wooden beams, along with a private shower room. A chest of drawers provides storage, along with a selection of games and toys.

The second bedroom is located on the ground floor within a bunkhouse-style space at the rear of the property. Designed in a rustic railway cabin theme with industrial and steampunk-inspired lighting, it features a fully enclosed built-in raised double cabin bed with integrated lighting, a Smart TV, CD player, PS3, and games. Beneath the main bed is a pull-out single trundle bed on wheels, ideal for a child.

Adjacent to the property is the private spa area, which includes a wet room, seating space, and a six-person indoor hot tub. Outside, the stone-walled garden offers off-street parking and a decked seating area overlooking beautiful countryside views. The decking includes a pergola, handcrafted barrel-style BBQ/smoker, and enamel barrel seating.

The property is just a two-minute walk from the local church and a small village shop/post office, and only three minutes from the Village Hall, which hosts regular events throughout the year including craft fairs, fetes, and cream teas.

There is ample off-road parking, along with a secure gated driveway. The walled and gated garden area provides additional security for young children and small pets. This is an ideal retreat for those seeking peace, quiet, and relaxation, with numerous scenic walks available directly from the doorstep, including the nearby Ashgill Force waterfall.
