Accommodation Overview
Dennis is our wonderfully quirky 1972 converted fire engine, with a fascinating history of his own. He began his working life serving with the Hampshire Fire Brigade, originally powered by a Jaguar straight-eight petrol engine before being converted to a Perkins turbo diesel while still in active service.
After retiring from the fire brigade, his tender equipment was removed and the box van was refitted. He then enjoyed a new life as a campervan before going on to work with a catering company at festivals.
Today, Dennis has been given a whole new lease of life as a unique place to stay. We’ve embraced his industrial heritage with brick-effect wallpaper, black metal curtain poles and vintage fire extinguishers, creating a characterful space that reflects his past.
The king-size bed is tucked away in the cab, giving you the chance to relax beneath the original two-tone wood-panelled ceiling — a lovely reminder of Dennis’s working days.
Dennis also has his own enclosed garden, giving your pets the opportunity to enjoy some supervised off-lead time during your stay.
Our Location
We’re nestled on the southern edge of the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds, an area renowned for its rolling countryside and quintessentially English landscapes.
Although Lincolnshire is often associated with flat, open farmland, the Wolds offer something quite different, with gently rolling hills, winding country lanes and stunning views across the countryside.
And when you fancy a trip to the coast, you’re only around 15 minutes away from miles of beautiful sandy beaches, with the Lincolnshire coastline stretching for over 50 miles.
It’s the perfect location for enjoying the best of both worlds — peaceful countryside and the seaside, all within easy reach.
