Would you like to stay beside one of the UK’s most celebrated beaches? These three beachfront holiday homes are set directly on the stunning sands of Porthkidney Sands, a breathtaking location within St Ives Bay that was named Best UK Beach by The Times and Sunday Times in 2024.
No matter their age, guests staying at Beach Pads quickly fall in love with this truly unique coastal setting. The collection consists of three neighbouring beach houses, each offering a peaceful retreat from the demands of everyday life. Wake up in a luxurious super-king-size bed and enjoy uninterrupted views across the bay towards the iconic Godrevy Lighthouse.
Spend your mornings watching the tide roll in and out while enjoying a tea or coffee from the comfort of your bedroom. Guests often describe the views as mesmerising, with many reluctant to leave the comfort of crisp cotton sheets and ever-changing sea vistas.
Step straight onto the dunes and beach for long walks, beachcombing, or simply time to unwind beside the sea. Alternatively, relax within the spacious private lawned gardens, complete with an enclosed heated swimming pool and summerhouse — perfect for enjoying spectacular sunsets over the bay while remaining sheltered from the elements.
Inside, each beach house combines comfort with modern convenience, including TVs with access to popular streaming apps and free unlimited superfast broadband and Wi-Fi.
As the properties are located directly on the beach, there is no on-site vehicle access. Guests can park free of charge at the nearby church or arrange parking on the quay, approximately 200–250 metres along the beach. Guests should be comfortable walking around 200 metres to and from the properties, and enquiries regarding accessibility are always welcome.
Over the years, the Beach Houses have proved especially popular for large family gatherings, milestone celebrations, anniversaries, reunions, weddings, photoshoots, and even film productions. Their unique setting creates the perfect backdrop for memorable occasions and treasured moments shared with family and friends.
Families particularly appreciate the space and freedom the location provides. Children can enjoy endless adventures on the beach or in the heated indoor pool, while parents relax and grandparents soak up the peaceful atmosphere and spectacular scenery.
All three Beach Pads feature exceptional amenities, including stunning sea views, two private hot tubs, an indoor heated swimming pool, and a covered outdoor entertainment area with a fire pit and Egg BBQ — ideal for cooking fresh local seafood while enjoying a chilled glass of wine as the sun sets across the bay.
Each home offers spacious open-plan living areas designed for comfort and sociable gatherings. The Ferry House and Ferryman’s Rest both include conservatories, while Ferryman’s Rest features an impressive dining and lounge area with a large driftwood-inspired table overlooking the sea — perfect for long dinners and relaxed evenings catching up with loved ones. Large comfortable sofas, oversized TVs, and a cosy wood-burning stove complete the welcoming atmosphere after a stroll along the beach.
Guests particularly enjoy relaxing in the hot tubs under the stars, listening to the soothing sound of the sea while taking in the ever-changing coastal views.
The open-plan living and dining spaces connect to fully equipped galley kitchens with doors opening onto the terraces and gardens. Frequently described by guests as “cook’s kitchens”, they are thoughtfully stocked with everything needed for relaxed family meals and entertaining.
